Backups & Archives That Stand the Test of Time.
Ark makes your important data permanent. Pay once, restore it anytime, even decades later. Only you are in control.
Your Data. Archived. Forever.

Target Users
Ark aims to be the go-to solution for backup and archiving on the Autonomi Network. It’s designed from the ground up to make the most of what Autonomi offers. And Ark isn’t just for enthusiasts - it’s designed to be an attractive option for users outside the decentralization-focused ecosystem, too.
Here’s what’s wrong with most backup options today
You pay forever: Stop paying and you lose access.
You lose control: Someone else decides what happens to your data.
You risk breaches: Centralized storage is an easy target.
Your privacy is at risk: Many services can access or analyze your data.
You waste money: Duplicate files drive up costs for everyone.
Ark solves these issues.
Why Ark matters now
We’re making more data than ever, but trust is low: Most of the world’s data was created in just the last two years, but more people want to control their own information.
The old model is broken: Cloud storage companies rely on endless subscriptions. Ark’s pay-once model gives you a permanent solution - one payment, and your data is stored for good.
Everyone benefits as Ark grows: Global deduplication means less wasted space and lower costs, making the whole Autonomi network more efficient as more people use it.
Ark is built for secure, practical real-world use. Only you can access your data, thanks to the smart use of cryptography. At the same time, recovery is always guaranteed, and your archives are accessible when you need them. For more details about how this innovative approach works, check the Features tab or our GitHub.
Current status
We’re building an early proof of concept now. The goal of this prototype is to validate the core cryptographic design, data handling flows, and interaction patterns with the Autonomi Network. You can follow our progress on Github.
If Ark moves forward in the Impossible Futures challenge, we’re confident we can deliver a fully functioning version within the Impossible Futures timeline.
